I never liked Acer ever since. I have tried using an Acer laptop way back back in college and I always have headaches using it. That time I am still not that hook with computers and I just keep on using it until I replaced it an HP laptop which I enjoyed more than my Acer.
But I guess the time for Acer for me to like has come. I am totally digging for their newest product, the Acer Timelines. It's quite an ingenious creation. With its looks, it can give a good rivalry with any Macs, Dells and HPs around. It can also be a competition for thin gadgets.
However, it's the priciest Acer ever, at least the ones I know from Acer. The old Acers that I hate were bulky, slow, ugly but cheap. But this one is way better than the previous looks, is equipped with good parts but cost almost $1,000 and roughly P45,000.
The Acer Timeline is offered in 3 displays, 15.6", 14" and 13.3" and all 3 has are in HD 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. I don't know the price for the 15.6" display but there is a weird thing going on with the two other displays.
For some reason, the 13.3" Timeline is more expensive than the 14" Timeline. The former is P45,000 while the latter merely P39, 990. I guess the philosophy "the smaller it is, the more expensive it becomes" applies to Acer products?
The Timeline is WiMax-ready. It also has a WiFi 802.11n and has options for 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 5.7 Mbps HSUPA. It promised an 8-hour battery life, provided the computer setting will be put to its power saving options, which means darker LCD, turns off the screen and hard disk in a given time and other effects.
