Dell recently relased a netbook that is primarily aimed at students and mobile workers. It's called Dell Latitude 2100 and it's certainly one of the coolest gadgets brought to us by Dell. Personally I love everything with the Latitude 2100 and even though it still is not available in the Philippines, I'm pretty sure it will be a big hit once it hit the market.
Dell Latitude 2100 is specifically made for rugged use. This means you don't have to baby this educational material like what you usually do with the current sensitive laptops. It is completely rubberized, has a strap for easy carrying.
You also get an optional anti-microbial keyboard in case you want it to be virus and bacterium free. Dell is also seeing it as a nice way to somehow prevent the spread of the recent scare, the Influenza A/H1NI virus or as what most people call it, swine flu, though I believed the antimicrobial keyboard is offered only in the US.
I like the idea of the strap for easy carrying but I doubt that feature won't work well in the Philippines. Carrying a laptop like an ordinary bag is an apple to the eye of robbers. Anyway, Dell Philippines has not release any details regarding the Latitude 2100's price yet but expect it to be announced in a few days from now.
