In 2007, one of the world's famous computer company decided it will be wise for them to put up an outlet inside one of the famous online community today, Twitter. Dell is only one of the many companies worldwide that has already established a name in Twitter.
From their 0 to more than 600,000 followers today via @DellOutlet, Dell's page is continuously becoming one of the favorites of the Twitterland. In December of last year, Dell announced to the public that they have surpassed a $1 million via their Twitter outlet.
Not only that they gained followers of their Twits enabling Dell followers to be updated of what's new about their company, the Twitter page also lead them to earning more. In a post from Dell's blog, it said "We've surpassed $2 million in revenue in terms of Dell Outlet sales, but we're also seeing that it's driving interest in new product as well."
"We're seeing people come from @DellOutlet on Twitter into the Dell.com/outlet site, and then ultimately decide to purchase a new system from elsewhere on Dell.com. If we factor those new system purchases that come from @DellOutlet, we're actually eclipsed $3 million in overall sales."
According to Dell they are giving promotions exclusive for their Twitter followers alone and that is the reason why their constituents are very much active that they also do re-tweeting of the Dell tweets. In this way the news from their page easily reach other people.
