I have been a Firefox user since I started looking for a faster and safer web browser after my then Internet Explorer failed me. For all those years, Firefox never failed to amaze me with their features and constant updates which ensured the safety and speed quality of browsing the internet.
When they made history with their release of the Firefox 3 on their Download Day 2008, I was a proud lad I was able to participate in it. I totally enjoyed the browser and until now, I'm using it in most of my computers.
Recently, Mozilla released to the public the Beta 1 version of their Firefox 3.6 and as always, I just have to be one of the many who wants to try it first hand. Now, I am equipped with it and although there aren't a lot of changes, there are quite a number of notable differences compared to the previous stable versions.
One is that the browser already have an installed Personas. I was using the Personas in my previous Firefox but I had to install it first before I was able to use it. Now, changing themes is just a click away.
Another feature is the dragging and dropping of files from your computer to the browser which is very much useful in uploading files to websites.
Web pages with HTML5 equipped videos can now be viewed full screen, marking the first of the many changes that will soon happen in other browsers and are developing features for HTML5 compatibility.
As of now, Firefox 3.6 Beta 1 is still obviously in Beta form and features in it are not yet sure to be included in the final version. But most of it will surely be included and I do hope more and better features will be included when it is fully released in the public.
