I met this girl at a book launch months ago. She participated in the discussion with the author and mentioned she read the author's 3 previous books. Aside from being pretty, she talked finely, with conviction and wit. I got interested in her, and I know I just have to have her name and contact details.
Well, I succeeded in getting her name and her number, but not her address. For weeks, we communicated, talking and texting everyday. Weeks ago she invited me to come in a book worm org gathering. I agreed, even though I don't know the place.
I just can't fail her so I had to resort to using my stalking skills. As a regular web crawler, I know where to find the solution to my problems. It's the Big G. I consulted 'brother' Google for a map and directions to the place. I have a pre-installed Google Earth on my laptop and that proved to be very useful. But my Google Earth version is a bit old so I tried Google Maps. It's pretty cool because it has all the information I need to go to the area.
I was successful that time and for a few more occasion, she invited me again and again to accompany her in the events she likes to attend. Everytime we have to meet in a place I'm not familiar with, I consult Google before proceeding to the venue.
Yesterday we were in inside a mall when her mom texted her the address of her sister in the London. She's excited to see her sister's house so I told her we can do that via Google Street View. We were successful in our house hunting.
We were sitting next to each other at that time when all of a sudden my cheeks felt the softness of her lips. She kissed me. She started saying how much she loved the effort I exerted finding her in places she know I am not familiar at for the last 3 months. Of course some other stuff that made her fall in love with me as well. And at that moment, we are now officially on.
Yeee. Ok, ok. This is getting too cheesy. I have to end this post now. Anyway, thanks Google!
