We in the family aren't really big fans of mobile phones, but since we are still students, we have this some sort of a 'need' for a mobile phone. If not for the fact that sudden changes in schedules, vital news updates or emergency events may occur anytime, I won't bother bringing one.
All of my classmates have phones, my friends and my brothers as well. I too have one, but like my lolo, lola, uncle and another cousin, I rarely use it. I guess they have a bigger influence on me than my friends do.
A few days ago my old phone gave up on me, the phone that stayed with me for almost a year. I'll definitely miss the notepad application on my old phone because I have stored tons of notes in it. Lucky that my mp3 files are located in the micro SD card.
And so the new phone hunting started. I don't text a lot, I'm more of a caller guy and most of the time I'm on my earplugs so I definitely don't need a phone for displaying purposes. I do listen to music a lot though, so I need a phone that can store multitude of songs. Camera capabilities and games are good features for me but need not be necessary.
The hunt ended when I stumbled on Nokia's 6600i Slide. It's not as good looking as Nokia's newest releases but I find it elegant and also, it's not so expensive.
It has a good phone camera quality with 5 megapixels, quite entertaining games, 16GB SD card (which I actually bought for an extra) and most of all, it has an FM tuner that will let me listen to more songs after I'm done with my playlist.
This is the first gadget I bought for myself and for sure I'll take good care of it.
