I used to have a 160GB internal HDD (hard disk drive) from HP (Hewlett-Packard) equipped on my computer. But recently it got corrupted for reasons I don't really know. I left the computer in my nephews' care and voila, 3 days after I came back home with a broken HDD.
I asked my friend to test it if it still can be fix, and we tried all possible solutions, to no avail. We just resorted into buying a new HDD so I can use the computer again. He suggested I go for a Samsung brand HDD because it is "tougher and faster".
So I went to the mall and looked for the Samsung HDD he suggested and fortunately found the Samsung SpinPoint F1 HDD. It boasts of a 750GB storage and its used of "high quality materials to produce durable, lightweight products that will stand the test of time". (quoting the salesman).
I'm not really good when it comes to sorting out which is which and looking at their shelves is like looking in a sea of HDDs so since that brand was suggested to me, I just grabbed it and about to go home. Just when I'm about to walk away from the store, my friend texted and said that I also need to get an internal HDD.
I've had external HDDs before, all HP (I'm a fan). I never tried using Samsung HDDs before, both internal and external. And since I already have a Samsung internal HDD on my hand, I decided to give the external HDD from Samsung a go.
I went for the small one Samsung has to offer since I travel a lot. The Samsung S1 Mini 250GB got me interested and is already on the cart, until I realized I do not have enough money for it. I had to put it back and just settle with the S1 Mini 160GB HDD.
