A Mark for Sarcasm

01/20/10 18:43

For us Netizens, we use :) on statements we are happy to say and share to the rest of the world. We use :| if we feel a little less sure what to feel or how to react, :( when sad or disappointed, >:) evil grin for something "ebil", and so on. There are quite a number of symbols we can use to show others in the online world how we feel.

But sometimes, when we want to make sarcastic points, the only guarantee we can have that the other person whom you showed sarcasm is for his/her intelligence is good enough to grasp it. We are not 100% if they will be able to get our sarcastic remarks. As a result, a lot of people actually believe into those false facts for failing to recognize sarcasm. That happens to me a lot of times, and its disappointing when a great sarcastic line is wasted to someone who doesn't get it.

The need for a symbol to represent sarcasm is greatly felt, especially for people dealing most of their times engaging in chat rooms, forum brainstorming or exchanging comments on blogs. And so, the Sarcasma Mark or simply SarcMark was invented.

YouTube Video

From this day on, you won't have to describe your ill-fated morning "What a good day!" and someone will believe you. Just add that SarcMark after your every sarcastic comments and the world will know you're being sarcastic.

Download your very own SarcMark for $1.99 of lifetime use.

While writing this, my neighbors are yelling and having a max volume rock party. Oh God, I just love my noisy neighbors. (SarcMark inserted)
