What were you doing when you were just around 16 years old? I really cannot remember exactly what, but as far as I remember, I was only staying at school back then, thinking of what to do in college or if I will ever get there in the first place?
Now that I'm a bit older, I sometimes regret that I didn't do as much things as what the teens do nowadays. These days, teens already know how to write in HTML even during their elementary days, something that I didn't even hear of during my time. We've also seen a number of startups created by these entrepreneurial teenagers. Back in my day, I didn't even get some serious thought to it.
This article from [404 Check: was link to http:/ / www. techcrunch. com/ 2009/ 10/ 10/ ten -teen -entrepreneurs -to -watch/ , anchor: TechCrunch.com] lists down some of the teen entrepreneurs that we have to watch in the future, primarily because they have already made great entrepreneurial success at such an early age, what more when they turn a little bit older? They don't even have to pass through their 20s just to be able to experience what the "real world" really is, because they're already there, savoring their success.
The teens shown in the article are just around 17 to 19 years old, though they started their first online business around 3 to 5 years ago. Among them is Jessica Mah, 19, the CEO of Indrina, a Mint.com look-alike but for small businesses. Then there's Ashley Qualls, 19, the owner of WhateverLife, a site she created when she was 14 years old. It's a site that gives MySpace users free layouts and HTML tutorials. Then there are those like Danny Ouyang who, at the age of 17, already has a number of profitable web properties. Wow. Talk about being web savvy.
Well, I hope I was a bit like them when I was younger, but oh well, I still have an entire lifetime still in front of me, anyway. So do you. We can still catch up, I suppose.
